PeopleFlo Awarded US Patent for a Sealless Centrifugal Pump with an Electro-Magnet Inside the Impeller

The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted PeopleFlo a patent for a sealless centrifugal pump with an “inner drive” electro-magnet inside the pump impeller. This configuration has many advantages. It enables a more compact sealless pump design, fewer internal cavities where fluid can stagnate and a more effective cooling path.

“Designing the electro-magnet inside the pump impeller provides important customer benefits,” said Radosav Trninich, VP of PeopleFlo. “In addition, the inner drive design is capable of providing more torque within the same volume of space as a more traditional outer drive version.”
