William Blankemeier

Founder and President

William founded PeopleFlo in 2004. He is responsible for building the culture, developing the team and establishing strategy. Prior to founding PeopleFlo, William worked for a leading manufacturer where, as General Manager, he led the initiative to develop new industrial products and to build new production systems based on “lean” principles. He began his manufacturing career with ITT Industries which provided 20 years experience in sales, marketing and production. He holds a BA degree in Economics from Middlebury College, Vermont and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Clark Shafer

Vice President

Clark helped found PeopleFlo in 2004. He leads PeopleFlo’s product design and operations activity. His responsibilities include product design services, engineering analysis, prototype development and new product testing. Clark’s technical specialties include designing fluid technology products, conducting technical sales training programs and developing sales support tools. Clark comes to PeopleFlo from a leading fluid technology company where he led a team of application engineers, product engineers and customer service representatives. He received extensive training and experience in “lean” manufacturing philosophy and tools. Clark received a BS, Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Dan Turner

Product Design Lead

Dan leads product development projects designed to create innovative product lines for leading pump OEMs. His responsibilities include project planning, project management and applying PeopleFlo’s innovation system to both product design and production technology. Dan has experience developing new centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and technical expertise in pump design, mechanism design and simulation. Dan is also responsible for technology development projects designed to create new technologies that transform pump performance. He leads the development and production of PeopleFlo’s PEEK Carbon Fiber, zero eddy current containment shells. Dan came to PeopleFlo from Case New Holland where he worked on machine design, theoretical design analysis and field testing. Dan graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Mike Thompson

VP and CTO

Mike leads product development projects designed to create innovative product lines for leading pump OEMs. His responsibilities include project planning, project management and applying PeopleFlo’s innovation system to both product design and production technology. Mike is responsible for PeopleFlo’s pump digitalization projects that involve sensor development, edge computing, IIOT platforms, connectivity and condition monitoring. Mike has technical expertise in electronics design, computer programming and FEA as well as experience developing new centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. Prior to working for PeopleFlo, Mike worked for Elliott Turbomachinery where he designed oil lubrication and gas seal systems for compressors and turbines used in refining, petrochemical and chemical applications. Mike graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
