PeopleFlo Manufacturing Awarded United States Patent for Positive Displacement Rotary Pump Feature
The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted PeopleFlo Manufacturing a patent for rotary pumps having a positive displacement auxiliary pumping system.
This patent protects the unique design of a rotary positive displacement pump that integrates an auxiliary pumping channel to circulate pumping fluids for cooling or heating of pump components. The auxiliary pumping system can also be used to minimize stagnant pump cavities to prevent product build up or to improve sanitization in food and beverage markets.
“The auxiliary pumping systems is particularly valuable for sealless mag drive pumps that use magnetic couplings,” said Clark Shafer, VP of Product Design for PeopleFlo. “This innovation not only improves the cooling of the magnet coupling but it also helps minimize product build up.”
